Describe the problem:
The flow wrapper was having trouble bottom sealing again. It seems the heat had something to do with it. The faster we ran the more the bottom seam wouldn't stay connected. We ended up running the machine slower today. We checked and the heating element is working, but not sure if its working properly. Trevor will be in at 3 tomorrow and he will have more specifics. Ill be in at 4
Notes:
Inspected; all is working as it should. It sounds like it is the new film. In order to fuse plastic together, you must melt it. Therefore the Flow Wrapper heat settings should be hot enough to melt it. Obviously, they should also be cool enough to not burn through the plastic while the Flow Wrapper is at a stand still. Different plastics have different melting and burn through temps. 5degC below the burn through point, when at a stand still for 5mins, is the optimal temperature at which to run the bottom seal. To double check, I disassembled, cleaned and lubed and reassembled roller mechanisms.
