add bumpers to sharp edges on bottom shelf

Describe the problem: 
Rack that has the muffin pans has 2 sharp pieces that stick out on the bottom shelf of the rack. Can you add bumpers to these? Or find a way to cut them off and have it be smooth? The rack was turned around today and I cut my ankle on it. Cleaning folks will be trained to ensure it's facing the correct way, but it's still a hazard.
